Spice Girls Costumes
Can you tell which picture has the real Spice Girls? Okay, so the cross-dressing Ginger Spice gives it away in the second picture, but if you and your friends want to pull off this look for Halloween, you need to get your costumes dead on like this group of Spice Girls! Make sure with all your costumes you have microphones so you can organize an impromptu rendition of 'Spice up Your Life!' This singing group was all about Girl Power. Remember, it's only fun to dress as the Spice Girls if you have a group to do it along with.

Baby Spice
Baby spice was the only blonde Spice Girl. She had a baby face, and usually wore her hair in pigtails. You can pull off the look by wearing very high pigtails a short babydoll dress. She is most noted for her satin blue babydoll dress and pigtail buns. If you cannot find a dress like this, find a short dress with an empire waist. You can also purchase a blonde wig if you were not blessed with the golden locks. She also had blunt bangs, and a wig can assist you in this department. You can finish the outfit with some knee-high white socks and platform tennis shoes. If you can find the blue satin dress, try some platform strappy sandals and no socks. She was very cute and baby like, so you should do your makeup very light and use pinks or blues. You can top off the outfit with some candy - a lollipop maybe? |

Ginger Spice
Ginger spice is the only red-headed Spice Girl. She has some blonde highlights that are most notable closest to her face. You can either use temporary hair color for these red locks or you can buy a mod wig. She is most iconic for her Union Jack dress, shown in the picture to the right. You can usually find these at any costume store, but they may not necessarily be labeled as Spice Girls costumes. Your makeup should be done in oranges and have some bright color on your lips. For this outfit, you need to have some chunky, red, calf-high platform boots to complete the look. |

Posh Spice
Posh Spice is considered to be the fashionista of the singing group. She is known for her little black dress. While the other girls were into wearing crazy bright-colored outfits, she wore the more mature black or white outfit. If you are trying to dress like her for Halloween, your dress should be thin straps, come to about your knees and be form fitting. She was known then by having a short brown bob, but has since turned into a blonde. You should probably opt for the brown hair to stay true to the Spice Girls look. She did not wear platform shoes like the rest of the Spice Girls. Instead, she would wear black stiletto heels. Her makeup was also done in black, so you should line both your upper and bottom lids with black eye liner and do your lips a shade darker than your natural color.

Scary Spice
Scary Spice was the wild one. Her outfits often involved a bra and cargo pants and as always platforms! She often wore animal prints and never tamed her wild curls. She also had her tongue pieced (gasp). She could pull off one-piece body suits or a short skirt. She also wore gold arm bands and sometimes pulled her hair into two buns like the picture to the right. If you don't have curly hair, we recommend getting a wig for this look. Don't try to get your hair to do this if it doesn't do it naturally!

Sporty Spice
The last Spice Girl to talk about is Sporty Spice. She was all about working out, staying in shape and doing all sorts of acrobatics in the music videos. She was known for wearing active workout clothes during their dances. She had long brown hair which was pulled up into a high ponytail. You can either get a wig or a clip-on ponytail. To pull off her look, you can go to a sporting goods store and buy a bright-colored tank top and some black swishy pants. Tennis shoes will complete the Sporty Spice look. She also wore a watch and had a band tattoo on her left arm. She has two Chinese character tattoos as well.
